Custom Car, Motorcycle, Watercraft Appraisals in Bertram

If you are like us, you love your car. You have probably spent countless hours and dollars making it everything you have always dreamed of. We, like you, enjoy being around car people, and more importantly cars themselves.

Although car people love to spend time and money on their cars, they all too often forget to properly value their car for insurance purposes. Dollar after dollar goes in, but never gets properly documented so that if a catastrophic event strikes, the real cost of putting the car back together gets paid by the insurance company. As collector car owners ourselves, we understand the importance of our product first hand. Fill out the form on the right to get started on your on-site Bertram car appraisal.

Facts about Bertram

Found in the eastern part of Burnet County, Bertram is a city with a population of 1,764, according to the 2020 census. This is up from a population of 1,353 at the time of the 2010 census. Bertram is roughly ten miles east of Burnet, which serves as the county seat.

Bertram's history began with the town's establishment in 1882. The town came to be after the community of San Gabriel decided to move two miles northwest to be closer to the recently constructed Austin and Northwestern Railroad. The inspiration for the town's name was Rudolph Bertram, then a stockholder in the railroad.

Bertram's post office opened in 1882, and the town began to grow. By the beginning of the 20th century, the town was a major shipping point for cattle, cotton, and wool.

A combination of the Great Depression and a decline in cotton prices led to a period of decline. Within two years, the town's population was half of what it had been in 1929. The recovery began after World War II, but it would be 1966 before the town was back to a population that was more than the 1929 populace.

Another decline took place toward the end of the 20th century, but has since reversed. In more recent years, a shift to a service-related industry model has aided in drawing people back to the area.
