Blanco (/ˈblæŋkoʊ/ BLANG-koh) is a city in Blanco County, Texas, United States. It is approximately 50 miles (80 km) north of downtown San Antonio and almost the same distance west of Austin. The population was 1,946 at the 2016 census estimate.
Blanco is located in the Texas Hill Country on the Blanco River at 30°05′58″N 98°25′20″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.2 square miles (8.4 km²), of which 3.2 square miles (8.3 km²) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²), or 1.99%, is water.
